Public transport is the best way to travel to the Aviva Stadium as there is no car or bike parking available on match and concert days. The best route can be checked on Google maps depending on your location, make sure to leave in plenty of time to beat the crowds.
Maldron Hotel Merrion Road is just 17 minutes from the Aviva Stadium by DART, with Booterstown DART station only 700 metres from the hotel. Maldron Hotel Croke Park is approximately 26 minutes away by public transport. Maldron Hotel Parnell Square can be reached in around 30 minutes by public transport, while Maldron Hotel Pearse Street is located just 1.5 km from the Aviva Stadium, making it a comfortable 20-minute walk. Maldron Hotel Smithfield is approximately 30 minutes away by public transport, and Maldron Hotel Kevin Street is around 30 to 35 minutes away. Maldron Hotel Tallaght offers the advantage of avoiding city centre traffic, with the Red Luas stop just a five-minute walk from the hotel, making travel into the city centre simple. The Six Nations is played across six countries, with matches hosted in Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, France and Italy.
The Six Nations rugby championship takes place from 5 February to 14 March, 2026.
The stadium will host Metallica’s M72 World Tour in June, followed by multiple nights with Dublin-born singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy in July.
In addition to the Six Nations, the stadium is expected to host the 2026 Autumn Internationals rugby competition. Ireland is scheduled to play against southern hemisphere sides such as Argentina and Fiji at Aviva Stadium in early and mid-November 2026, with another high-profile international against South Africa also slated later that month.
