The RDS arena is owned by the Royal Dublin Society and operates as a multi-purpose venue for music, sport and events. The venue engulfs an impressive 280 years of Irish event history with a capacity of 38,000. It is one of the most popular destinations in Europe – located in Ballsbridge, close to Dublin city centre! It is splendidly located in close proximity to the Dart station and Dublin Bus routes 4, 7, 7A, 18, 27x and many other bus routes located nearby.
The RDS introduces many sporting events such as football, rugby, tennis, show jumping and wrestling, and since being reconstructed in 2007, is officially titled a world-class stadium. Past events include the Dublin Horse Show, Special Olympics, FAI Cup Final, European Cup Rugby and Celtic Cup Rugby.
The RDS contains four different concert halls for events to take place. Many internationally renowned music artists have performed here like Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi and Queen. Upcoming events include P!NK, Fleetwood Mac, ComicCon, Dublin Jazz singers and other local events.
