Croke Park is home of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), hosting the national hurling and Gaelic football all-Ireland championships, and it is also now equally famous as a world-class concert event venue.
For those of you travelling up from the country for county matches or All Ireland finals, Maldron Hotel Pearse Street is ideally located close to the venue itself but even closer to city centre where all of the pre-match nerves are but at ease the night before!
Over the years Croke Park has played host to many major international acts including; U2, Elton John, Celine Dion, Take That, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and One Direction to name but a few.
Croke Park Stadium Tours offer an access-all-areas trip through the stadium. Walk in the footsteps of some of Irelands biggest sporting legends as you visit the team dressing rooms before going pitchside and taking a seat in the VIP area. Enjoy panoramic views from the top tier of the stand and 30 meters above the famous pitch. If you wish to view the city from the roof of Croke Park Stadium, it’s possible! The Etihad Skyline Tour has five viewing platforms along a 0.6km rooftop walkway.
Despite its capacity to hold an impressive 80,000 people for these amazing events, it is more commonly known here in Ireland as the home of GAA. If visiting Ireland for the first time, it is highly recommended that you attend a hurling game at Croke Park before you leave!
