Christmas Shopping in Dublin

Henry Street is one of Dublin’s most popular shopping districts and at Christmas time it is an experience not to be missed. At Maldron Hotel Parnell Square, you will be only a short walk away from the hustle and bustle, the festive Christmas fun and Christmas markets. You can even see Santa Clause himself at his Grotto in Arnott’s Department Store, Ireland’s oldest and largest department store which opened its doors in 1843.

Take a stroll down Grafton Street, one of Dublin’s most prominent shopping districts and one of the busiest pedestrianized streets in Europe. Admire the iconic Christmas window displays in department stores, listen to the buskers and warm up with a cup of tea in the famous Bewley’s Café afterwards.

Just off of Grafton Street, at the Mansion House on Dawson Street each year there is a live crib, the animals are brought to the crib each morning and return to their farms every evening.

    Where is the hotel located?

    Maldron Hotel Parnell Square is located just 3 minutes’ walk from O’Connell Street and is easily accessible from all the main transport routes.

    How far is it to walk from the hotel to the Luas stop?

    The Luas ‘Green Line’ Dominic Street stop is located 2 minutes from the hotel. The Luas ‘Red Line’ Abbey Street is located 10 minutes from the hotel.

    Do you have parking?

    No, there is no onsite car parking available at Maldron Hotel Parnell Square. We recommend that guests park at the nearby Park Rite Parnell Street Car Park.

    What time is check-in?

    Check-in is officially from 3.00pm.

    What time is check-out?

    Check-out is at 12 noon.

    Is an early check-in possible?

    Earlier check-in is subject to availability and can not be guaranteed. We’re happy to store your luggage with our front office team at the reception area until your room is ready.

    Does the hotel have luggage facilities?

    Yes, you can leave your luggage with the reception until your room is ready or you are ready to depart.

    Is the hotel a non-smoking hotel?

    Yes, all bedrooms at Maldron Hotel Parnell Square are completely non-smoking. We do have a designated outdoor smoking area at the front of the hotel to accommodate guests who smoke. A deep cleaning fee will be charged to guests who are found to be in breach of our no smoking policy.

    Do bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms?

    Yes, all bedrooms have a private en-suite bathroom.

    Is there a hairdryer in the room?

    Yes, all of our rooms have a hairdryer. If there isn’t one in your room, dial 0 and our reception team will provide you with one.

    Does the hotel have accessible rooms?

    Yes, the hotel has a number of accessible rooms. To book an accessible room please contact our reservations team on +353 (01) 871 6800.

    What type of room should I book for three adults?

    Our triple rooms have a double bed and a single bed or three single beds.

    Is the hotel air-conditioned?

    Yes, all our guest bedrooms are air-conditioned.

    Are pets permitted?

    No, but certified guide dogs are permitted in our hotel.

    What are the times for breakfast?

    Breakfast is served from Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 10.00am and Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays from 8.00am to 11.00am.

    Do room rates include breakfast?

    Maldron Hotel Parnell Square offers both room only and bed & breakfast rates. Room only rates do not include breakfast. However, you can always add breakfast when you arrive at the hotel.

    Do you offer room service?

    Yes, we offer room service until 10.0pm daily. Pizza’s are available until 2.00am.

  • Booking

    What does our “no show” policy entail?

    If you do not show up on the day of your booking, you will be charged the full amount for your first night’s stay. If you have booked our “advanced purchase” or “prepay and save” rates, you will incur a 100% penalty charge for the entire duration of your stay.
