Christmas Shopping

Henry Street is only a 3 minute walk away and at Christmas time it is an experience not to be missed. The street is full of festive fun at Christmas time, and make sure to visit the Christmas markets. Before you leave, take the kids to visit Santa Clause himself at his Grotto in Arnott’s Department Store, Ireland’s oldest and largest department store which opened its doors in 1843.

Take a stroll down Grafton Street, one of Dublin’s most prominent shopping districts and admire the iconic Christmas window displays in Brown Thomas Department store. Warm up with a cup of tea in the famous Bewley’s Café afterwards, one of Dublin’s most recognizable landmarks having held a special place in Dublin’s heart for over 175 years.

There is a live crib at the Mansion House each year, just off Grafton Street on Dawson Street. The animals are brought to the crib each morning and return to their farms every evening.

The Panto

The Panto is a Christmas tradition amongst the Irish, with a variety of Pantos to choose from each year, you’ll be falling off your seats laughing. This is an experience definitely not to be missed and its suitable for all ages.
