Bike Trails Galway

Bike trail from Galway City to Spiddal, Co.Galway

If you are looking for a nice long afternoon activity why not cycle to the beautiful Spiddal where you will be traveling along the Clifden Road to Moycullen, on a clear day you may spot the Cliffs of Moher or the Aran Islands.

The Salthill Prom

Why not hop on your bike and cycle out to the stunning Salthill, you will peddle through the city centre of Galway and out to the infamous Galway Prom where you will see people walking, running, rollerblading and cycling.

Terryland Park

A beautiful woodland walk right in the city. Just a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

Salthill

The “Long Walk” is famous for the coastal views. Just a 10-minute drive from our hotel.

Rinville Park

The scenic Rinville park gives long walks through woodlands, open farmland and by the sea, it is just an 18-minute drive from the hotel and it is well worth it the little trip.

Swimming

Galway is surrounded by some beautiful beaches some being a short walk from the city centre, others being a 20-minute drive each as scenic as the next. The closest beach to the hotel would be in Salthill, made up of 3 separate beaches. A very popular area of Salthill would be the Blackrock diving boards, the brave ones will make the jump from the top.

Just 2 miles from Salthill you will find a beach with stunning views of Galway bay, very popular with families it is the perfect day out.

Bus

If you are looking to travel to town by bus, you will be jumping on the 407 Bothair on Choiste (Maigh Riocard) bus route – the bus stop is right beside the hotel at the Terryland stop – the first bus begins at 7:23am and will be arriving every half hour after that time until the last bus at 23:53.

On your return to the hotel, you will once again be hopping on the 407 Bothair on Choiste (Maigh Riocard) bus which you will find in Eyre Square starts running at 6:46am and leaves every half an hour after that until 23:15pm.
