Guinness Storehouse

Located in the heart of St James Gate Brewery, the Guinness Storehouse offers an interactive tour that takes you through the story of Guinness and how it is made. The Storehouse is very interactive: you can even learn how to pull the own perfect pint or join the Taste Experience to sample some of the different types of Guinness. It is a must see tourist attraction whilst visiting Dublin!

Many public transport services travel from Dublin Airport to the city centre where a connecting bus, Luas tram or taxi can take you within minutes to the iconic Guinness Storehouse.

Opening hours are Sunday to Thursday from 11.30am to 7.00pm (last entry 5.00pm) and Friday to Saturday from 11.30am to 9.30pm (last entry 8.00pm). Pre-booking is essential via their website for up to 6 visitors and you can select a time slot to visit.

Book of Kells

The beautifully illuminated manuscript was written around the year 800AD by Irish monks and later buried in Kells to hide it from the Vikings. After being eventually rediscovered, it was deposited for safe keeping in Trinity College Dublin in 1653 where it resides to this day. Located in the magnificent Old Library building, the Book of Kells the exhibition explores the fascinating process the monks used to produce these manuscripts.

The National Gallery of Ireland

Take time to discover new favourite artists amongst the 12,500 pieces as you view works by Vermeer, Caravaggio, Picasso, Van Gogh and Monet. The National Gallery of Ireland hosts a busy calendar of temporary exhibitions. Located on Kildare Street in Dublin city centre, catch one of the frequent bus services from the airport.
