What is the Gathering all about?
It’s a party, a celebration for 70 million people around the world. The Gathering 2013 is an open ended invite to people come home to Ireland, the aim being to connect and reconnect people of Irish ancestry, heritage or even an affinity with Ireland with the Ireland of the past, present and future. Maldron Hotels and Partner Hotels are delighted to consider ourselves part of this fantastic initiative. Events are taking place all over the country, each originating from communities putting their creative spirit to good use. There are festivals, special sporting events, music and meetings of clans, it is hoped that over 1000 events will take place throughout the year.
